This post is dedicated to showing you that you have the ability to dial in and harmonize your physical body to your new vibe.

Awakening spiritually can be tricky business. Whether you experienced a sudden awake moment due to an intense physical trauma or you just woke up one day and seemed different, you will most likely feel somewhat disoriented or just plain ‘out of sorts.’ People describe feeling and experiencing all manner of odd sensations. It’s like someone turned up the volume of your life to the point where it almost hurts. You could be experiencing everything more intensely than you did before.

Suddenly your filter is no longer accessible and you want to tell the ‘truth’ all the time. Your emotions may be raw. You may feel dizzy or weak or like you don’t want to see people or go out to public places.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! These symptoms are experienced by almost everyone who goes through a spiritual crisis/awakening. What happened to you is that your consciousness suddenly expanded beyond your current physical reality, vibration and/or state. If you are feeling unwell physically, emotionally and mentally then your task is to rise the vibration and over all health of your physical body to match that of your new energy and consciousness.

THE BODY IS THE VEHICLE THROUGH WHICH ALL OF YOUR EXPERIENCES ARE FILTERED.

Improving the health and vibration of your physical body will allow you to harmonize and positively vibe with your self on all levels and reduce the negative ‘ascension symptoms’. Not only that, but your metaphysical experiences will level out so that you are living your ascension. We have an expression in yoga…live your yoga on and off the mat.

Your thoughts and actions will need to become consistent with your higher consciousness. To be honest, I’m still working on this, however, I can say the better I feel physically the easier it is for me to keep my mind and thoughts positive. We live in a world that doesn’t support this so be gentle on yourself. A good sense of humor will take you far. Smile. This is a wonderful and soulful journey.

Raising Your Vibrational Signature

1. Strengthen Your Nervous System

Your nervous system is the lens through which your entire spiritual experience is projected. Strengthening your nervous system literally gives you the ability to handle the higher fluctuations of energy and integrate the newest light codes with greater ease.

Begin a spiritual practice:

  • Begin a practice of some sort- start with just 3 minutes a day:
  • Yoga – do one downward facing dog pose and Warrior II pose on each side for one minute each.
  • Meditation – go silent for 3 minutes
  • Breath Work – take 4 deep breaths – long deep breathing (start with a count of 5 inhaling, pause for 5 and exhale to 5) For more on breathing click here.
  • Simple Contemplation – Vipasana – go out in nature and just take it in or sit silently and watch your mind from an observer point of view
Remove harmful foods and Add foods and/or supplements which build a healthy nervous system:
  • Add healthy fats rich in Omega 3’s to your diet- fish oils, pure olive oil, butter, animal fats, avocado, nuts (for more info on fats click here ) The Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz
  • Remove refined sugars, white flour and cut back on grains (More on this in an upcoming post) Grain Brain by Dr. David Pearlmutter

Exercise – Move the new energy throughout your body:

  • Elevating your heart rate helps to settle down and strengthen a challenged nervous system.
  • Move your spine for 3 minutes everyday-this activates the cranial-sacral pump which vitalizes your nervous system and settles down the adrenal glands.

2. Strengthen Your Body

We are both a top-down and bottom-up system. Meaning the state of our mind affects our body, and state of our body affects our mind. There is no way around this one. However, little changes will go a long way.

Lift Weights:

  • Strength training helps to build bone and valuable hormones.
  • Lifting weights lifts your mood by activating endorphins – the feel good chemicals in the body.
  • Weight training helps improve communication, coordination and balance between body parts and your mind.
  • Strength training builds your confidence and sense of well-being.

Elevate Your Heart Rate:

  • Elevating your heart rate increases the electromagnetic activity of the heart which increases the size and strength of your aura and energetic self-protection.
  • Move your body by walking, running, hiking, stair climbing, dancing, making love…anything that elevates your heart-rate for more than 3 minutes/day.
  • Moving and increasing your heart rate helps to increase your vibration, as well as circulation in every aspect of your body.
  • Moving for just a few minutes raises endorphins and improves your confidence.

Stretching, Flexibility and Coordination:

  • Practice Yoga – works on the hemispheres of the brain, peripheral nervous system, and muscular-skeletal system; gives you full-body presence
  • Dance – the coordinated effect of this type of movement stimulates the hemispheres of the brain, builds muscle and stimulates endorphins
  • Try Martial Arts – similar effects of yoga and dance
  • Resistance work with bands or tubes
